Card Security Code
Most credit cards have a security code (CVV2) in addition to the credit card number. This is used to verify that you have physical possession of the card.

On American Express, the card security code is 4 digits above and to the right of the credit card number. On Mastercard, VISA, and Discover, the card security code is 3-4 digits on the back of the card on the signature panel. It will appear after either the whole credit card number, or the last 4 digits of the credit card number.
